OnePlus launched the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in the first half of 2021, meaning rumors began to surface about their successors. Read on to find out everything you need to know about OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro.
Normally, we will have the OnePlus 9T to look forward to at this time of year, but OnePlus has canceled the mid-cycle edition for 2021, making the 10 and 10 Pro the next launch of OnePlus on our sights.
Here’s all we know about the two phones so far.
Pricing and departure date
We have not yet heard much about the price or launch date of the OnePlus 10, but it is expected to come out in the first half of 2022.
The price of the OnePlus 9 was £ 629 at launch, while the 9 Pro cost £ 829, so we would expect both phones to be priced somewhere in this range, especially as the OnePlus already offers budget and mid-range options in the Nord series.
Design and display
We recently got what looks like our first look at the OnePlus 10 Pro in joint 5K adaptations by OnLeaks and Zutton.
According to the report, the design will be similar to the OnePlus 9 series, with a number of additional features.
One of the biggest changes seen in this leak is the camera module. When the OnePlus 9 Pro had a rectangular camera housing in the corner with two large sensors and two smaller ones, the camera in the 10 Pro looks significantly larger. The square-shaped module appears to contain three large sensors and a flash and wraps around the side of the phone on the back.
According to the same report, the 10 Pro will measure 163 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm. It will feature the same 6.7-inch QHD monitor as the 9 Pro with the same fast refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:09 There will also be a selfie camera with single holes in the top right corner of the screen.
The phone is expected to be launched in black, white and light blue.
Specifications and performance
A little word on the chipset at this point, but OnePlus tends to fit its flagship phones with advanced Qualcomm chips, so we expect the OnePlus 10 series to get the same treatment with the rumored Snapdragon 898.
Zouton says the Pro will include 8GB / 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage.
OnePlus is partnering with Oppo to integrate Oxygen OS with ColorOS, so we expect to see the new software run across the OnePlus 10 series.
Zouton’s report mentions that the 10 Pro will have a 5,000 mAh battery – this is larger than the 4,500 mAh battery found in the 9 Pro. The 9 Pro also includes a 65W Warp Charge, which will likely be upgraded with a 10 Pro for a 125W charge.
The OnePlus 9, meanwhile, introduced the same 4,500 mAh battery as the 9Pro, so hoping to see the cheaper model gets an upgrade to a 5,000 mAh battery.
